In this episode we talk to recently retired physician Doctor Salloum; Doctor Salloum has an interesting path through medicine - receiving a degree in english literature, then worked as a speech pathologist for 9 years before starting medical school. She talks about her path through medicine, and how her late start didn't affect her career like she might have worried it would- she emphasizes this point, reinforcing that just because you're an older student doesn't mean you can't do a longer specialty.
